SHOCK! Pete Doherty arrested in court
Pete Doherty was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug yesterday - while in court.
The Babyshambles frontman was at Gloucester Crown Court for a separate drink-drive case when he was detained by police.
Pete was snapped being escorted to a nearby station by officers.
‘A 30-year-old Wiltshire man has been arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a controlled substance,' a spokeswoman tells the BBC.
‘He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.'
Earlier at the hearing, Pete avoided a jail sentence when he admitted to drink-driving while out in Gloucester on 11 June.
He had earlier admitted to two counts of drugs possession, driving without a licence and without insurance following the initial arrest.
Pete was fined £2,050 and banned from the road for 18 months.
