La Roux star Elly Jackson has spoken about her friendship with Lily Allen.

The singers have discovered a connection and have become close confidantes.

‘Lily is very caring, so supportive,' says Elly. ‘I've confided in her quite a lot.'

The 21-year-old has also given some guidance to Lily, 24 - who used to love to Twitter and blog - about the use of the internet.

‘I don't go on the internet, don't go on YouTube, don't go on Facebook, don't go on anything,' she tells You.

‘[Lily's] told me that she's thrown her computer away. I don't blame her.

‘In order to have a private life in her position you've got to cut yourself off.'
