Daniel Merriweather has a lot of respect for Kanye West

Daniel Merriweather has tried to clear up some of the negative press surrounding Kanye West.

The rapper, 32, became a hate figure when he interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

But Daniel, 27 - who supported Kanye on tour in Australia - insists he isn't so bad.

‘He's completely opposite to that in person,' he tells Now Online.

‘Kanye's a really nice guy and quite humble...I think when the cameras are on he kind of plays out a role that people expect him to play out.

‘But he's actually a really good guy.'
