Daniel Merriweather: I want to quit smoking

Singer really hopes to succeed in 2020

Daniel Merriweather's debut album Love And War charted at No 2

Daniel Merriweather has made the same New Year's resolution as many other nicotine addicts.

‘I really want to quit smoking cigarettes,' he tells Now Online.

‘I quit before so it definitely works. Obviously not for very long.'

Daniel, 27, also fancies cultivating a bit of facial hair.

'I want to grow a beard,' the singer confides. ‘I'm pretty clean
shaven at the moment.'

Daniel's past attempts have failed.

‘I can never get through the itchy stage,' he says.

‘It gets itchy and then I want to shave it off.

'If you get through it, then you have this amazing beard.'
