Following the shock departure of founder member Keisha Buchanan - replaced within days by Eurovision star Jade Ewen, 21 - the future of the Sugababes hung in the balance.
But nearly three months on, Jade, Heidi Range, 26, and Amelle Berrabah, 25, are going strong and they've dealt with any disgruntled fans.
'I've had people say horrible things on Twitter, but now I block them if they say something negative,' says Jade.
'People can be really spiteful and mean - I don't know how people can have that much hate. We're only human at the end of the day. My mum's so funny; she writes back to people sometimes under another name!'
Heidi has also had to cope with some cruel comments.
'There were some horrible things written on Twitter after Keisha left,' she tells Now. 'Someone wrote that I needed to get an eating disorder because I was fat next to Amelle and Jade and someone else wrote: "Burn in hell, you c***."
'They're sad people, but thankfully I'm in a better place now, so it's not hurting as much. I'm staying off Twitter for now.'
