Joely Richardson: There'll never be a day I don't think of Natasha

Actress opens up about her grief

Joely Richardson is the daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave

Joely Richardson has spoken for the first time about the death of her sister.

Natasha Richardson, 45, passed away at a New York hospital in March after suffering a fatal head injury while skiing in Canada.

‘I cannot imagine that there will ever be a day when I don't think of Tasha,' says Joely. ‘I never imagined such a thing as this.

'The shock shatters you to a cellular level and it takes time for the pieces to come back together, albeit in a different formation.'

Joely, 44, threw herself into her work following Natasha's funeral.

‘A strange autopilot kicks in,' she tells Tatler. ‘Your psyche puts your work day into a different compartment from your private life.

'My first shot back on set was reacting to someone dying.'

Natasha is survived by husband Liam Neeson, 56, and their sons Michael, 14, and Daniel, 13.
