Singer wears PVC gown at Royal Variety Performance

Lady GaGa made sure the Queen noticed her when they met last night - by wearing a bright red PVC dress.

The singer, real name Stefani Germanotta, performed for Her Majesty at the Royal Variety Performance at Blackpool's Opera House.

Lady GaGa, 23, took to the stage in a Tudor-style gown, complete with puffed sleeves and an Elizabethan ruff.

She went on to perform hit track Speechless while suspended in mid-air in front of a giant piano on stilts.

Other performers at the Royal Variety Performance included Alexandra Burke, Katherine Jenkins, Whoopi Goldberg and Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity.
