Prime Minister gets names mixed up in Parliament

Gordon Brown was oblivious to his slip-up over the Hollywood stars

Gordon Brown made a huge gaffe yesterday when he mistook Reese Witherspoon for Renée Zellweger.

The Prime Minister was praising the Legally Blonde star, 33, for her work against domestic violence when he got her confused with Renée.

‘I'm very grateful that Renée Witherspoon is leading this campaign,' he said in Parliament.

Gordon seemed oblivious to the mix-up and went on to say: ‘She spoke movingly at the funeral of Anthony Minghella.'

The only problem was that it was Renée, 40, who spoke at the service and not Reese.
