Beyoncé Knowles gets 10 Grammy nominations

Taylor Swift follows closely behind with 8 nods

Beyoncé Knowles is married to rapper Jay-Z

Beyoncé Knowles has received the most nominations for next year's Grammy Awards.

The singer, 28, is up for 10 gongs, including Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year for Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) and Record Of The Year for Halo.

Taylor Swift, 19, follows closely behind with 8 nominations, while the Black Eyed Peas, R&B star Maxwell and Kanye West have 6 nods each.

The nominations were announced yesterday at LA's Club Nokia.

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards take place on 31 January.
