Comedian bonds with girlfriend's family in Austria

Russell Brand and Katy Perry started dating after the MTV Video Music Awards in September

Russell Brand has jetted off to Austria with Katy Perry and her devout Christian parents.

The singer first introduced her boyfriend to pastors Keith and Mary Hudson at her 25th birthday party in LA in October.

And now Katy's invited her mum and dad to join her at the Ischgl ski resort so that they can get to know Russell, 34, better.

Keith and Mary, who are accompanied by Katy's siblings David and Angela, are willing to overlook the comedian's colourful past. 

'We all have a past,' Keith tells The Sun. 'I was in the Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin era, and I used to take LSD.

'Russell's really got a hunger for the supernatural. He's got a real spiritual hunger. Russell really likes us because he has a whole new different concept on Christianity now that he has met us.'

Russell and Keith already seem to be bonding - they posed for photos at the ski lodge yesterday.
