Hugh Jackman: My wife stood up Mick Jagger for me

Actress chose him over Rolling Stone

Aussie actor Hugh Jackman married Deborra-Lee Furness in 1996

Hugh Jackman's wife Deborra-Lee Furness once turned down a night out with Mick Jagger to be with him.

Before they married, the X-Men star invited the actress, 54, to a dinner party at his house in an effort to woo her.

But their meal was interrupted by an unexpected call.

‘Deb's mobile rang and it was a very famous friend of hers who said, "I'm outside Hugh's house in a limo with Mick Jagger and Mick says come out and party",' he says.

‘So I said, "Go, what are you doing sitting here? Go with Mick"'.

But Hugh, 41, was surprised by Deborra's decision.

‘She gets on the phone and says, "You tell Mick I'm having dinner with Hugh Jackman," and hung up,' he tells Celebs On Sunday.

‘So she stood up Mick Jagger for me.'
