SJP: There's a standard of beauty I don't fit into

Star says acting isn't all about looks

Sarah Jessica Parker is married to actor Matthew Broderick

Sarah Jessica Parker admits she's not considered a conventional beauty.

But the actress, who plays Carrie Bradshaw in Sex And The City, doesn't care about her looks being criticised.

‘I'm not an idiot,' she tells OK! ‘I understood there was a standard of beauty and that I didn't fit into it.

‘I've always thought of myself as an actor who is on a journey and part of that journey is finding good work, regardless of my appearance.

‘Now I've surrounded myself with people who support me the way I am.'
