Kara Tointon: I'm not mature enough to get married

Actress Kara isn't ready to become Mrs Joe Swash

Kara Tointon is the perfect Snow White

Ex-EastEnderKara Tointon is appearing in Snow White this year at Bristol Hippodrome with boyfriend and former co-star Joe Swash.

The pair aren't living together yet but will soon by sharing a very comfortable hotel room.

'At the moment we're going back and forth between each other's flats,' she explains.

'We were going to rent somewhere in Bristol where we're doing panto, but we decided to stay in a hotel instead. So someone else does the tidying and we won't have to argue over the washing-up. Perfect.'

The couple, who played brother and sister in the BBC soap, started dating when 27-year-old Joe left.

'I realised the place wasn't the same without him,' says Kara, 26. 'We went out to dinner and things went from there. We just needed some distance to see it. It was a bit of a surprise.'

So is it getting serious?

'Oh my goodness. I don't know!' she insists. 'I feel like a teenager, even though I'm not. I'm not the type to think about marriage too much.

'I don't even know when our anniversary is. We're just enjoying being together and having a good time, so marriage is way, way down the line.

'I don't want to think about getting married until I'm in my thirties and I'm mature enough.'
