Russell Brand likes to live a little dangerously

Russell Brand accidentally set light to his foot at a recent gig.

The comedian's shoe caught fire as he tried to stamp out a flaming tissue during his set at The Masonic Lodge in Hollywood.

‘Oh no, I'm out of my depth,' he said. ‘Dan - there's a fire. Oh no. It's getting worse.'

Fortunately, one of Russell's helpers was able to douse the flames with a bottle of water.

The 34-year-old - who is dating Katy Perry, 25 - later joked about the incident as part of his routine.
