Christopher Biggins hosts London gig
Monday, 30 November 2009
Boyzone sang a medley of their greatest hits at a private concert in memory of Stephen Gately yesterday.
Ronan Keating, 32, Mikey Graham, 37, Keith Duffy, 35, and Shane Lynch, 33 led the tributes to their late bandmate at London's Palace Theatre.
Among the other performers were Chesney Hawkes and Blue's Duncan James and Lee Ryan.
The gig was organised by Stephen's civil partner Andrew Cowles and was hosted by pal Christopher Biggins.
Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli was among the guests.
‘Stephen was a very, very nice guy,' he tells the BBC. ‘He was the kindest, sweetest, most generous kid.
‘It's very tragic what happened, but nevertheless we are here to celebrate his achievements because in that short time he managed to achieve a lot.'
Stephen died of natural causes at his holiday home in Majorca last month aged just 33.

I dont know who your sources are but BZ did not sing...
It was a beautiful evening but Boyzone did not sing at the memorial.
As SP already said, don't know who your sources are, but Boyzone did not sing, only Ronan was on stage giving a speech on behalf of all of Boyzone, cos the ladz were too emotional to sing, as can be imagined!
Like the others said Boyzone did not perform and neither did duncan james! It was a private memorial lets keep it that way!!
