John Mayer: I should be having sex with more girls

Singer says dating a woman makes him feel guilty

John Mayer split from Jennifer Aniston in March

John Mayer is fed up with the press attention focused on his love life.

The singer, 32, reckons the media intrusion is stopping him from letting his hair down as he always has to be on his best behaviour.

‘It's crazy to me that in my head, that being 32 and dating women is going to get me in trouble,' he tells The New York Times.

‘I can't even explain to you how terrible that feels, that I equate dating a woman with punishment, shame, guilt, disappointment, reproach, reprimand, persecution.

‘It's a nightmare. I should be having sex with more girls.'

John has previously dated Jennifer Aniston, 40, Jessica Simpson, 29, and Jennifer Love Hewitt, 30.
