Taylor Swift wins 5 American Music Awards

Michael Jackson also honoured at annual ceremony

Taylor Swift is rumoured to be dating Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner

Taylor Swift was the big winner at last night's American Music Awards in LA.

The teen singer took home 5 gongs - including the main prize for Favourite Artist Of The Year.

Taylor, 19, gave her acceptance speech via satellite link from London.

The late Michael Jackson followed closely behing with 4 posthumous trophies.

‘It's not just about the winning, the awards,' said Jacko's brother Jermaine.

‘It's mainly the message. The message Michael had will live on forever. He saw good in everyone... Start with love and let's love each other.'

Janet Jackson earlier opened the show with a medley of her hits.

Ne-Yo, the Black Eyed Peas, 50 Cent, Nicole Kidman and Kelly Clarkson all attended the do.
