EastEnders Christmas scripts stolen in break-in

Bosses fear storylines could be leaked

Actors destroyed their scripts after filming seasonal scenes to minimise the risk of leaks to the press

Scripts for the EastEnders Christmas specials have been stolen.

The plotlines were on a computer taken in a burglary at one of the writer's homes.

'We're keen to get this laptop back as it contains all the twists and turns of our exciting EastEnders Christmas,' says executive producer Diederick Santer.

The two Christmas Day episodes usually get the soap's highest ratings for the year.

It is feared the forthcoming storylines could now be leaked on the internet.
