Nicole Richie being treated for pneumonia

Socialite checks into Cedars-Sinai

Nicole Richie is the daughter of singer Lionel Richie

Nicole Richie went to an LA hospital on Wednesday after complaining of feeling unwell.

‘She has checked herself into Cedars-Sinai where she is being treated for pneumonia,' reads a statement to E! Online. ‘She is doing well.'

Nicole, 28, previously told her Twitter followers she was ill.

‘OK, cold, it's been six days,' she wrote. ‘Let's part ways graciously and keep it moving.'

Last week, her rep rubbished rumours she had swine flu.
