Ryan Seacrest gets 3-year restraining order against fan

Ryan Seacrest has had a temporary restraining order against a fan extended.

Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr has been ordered to stay 100 yards from the American Idol host, 34, for the next 3 years.

He was arrested on 30 October after allegedly being caught trying to enter the E! Entertainment building in LA - where Ryan works - while armed with a knife.

Chidi, 25, remains in custody on suspicion of felony stalking and two misdemeanour counts of disobeying a prior court order.

If convicted for all three charges, he faces up to four years in prison.

Ryan, who was not at the court hearing yesterday, was granted the temporary order last month.

Chidi has pleaded not guilty to felony stalking.
