Denise Van Outen: I feel better than ever

Star excited to be expecting baby

Mum-to-be Denise Van Outen is being pampered by husband Lee Mead


We were thrilled to hear that our star interviewer Denise Van Outen is pregnant with her first child.

She and hubby Lee Mead finally spilled the beans last week and Denise spoke exclusively to Now about the news.

‘It's so exciting!' grins Denise, 35, who married Lee, 28, in April this year after meeting on Any Dream Will Do two years ago.

‘I feel better than ever and so lucky as I haven't felt any sickness at all.

‘I'm relieved that I fell pregnant so quickly as we haven't spent much time together this summer - Lee's been in New York and I was in Edinburgh.'

With the baby due in May, they now plan to be in the same country for the foreseeable future.

‘I came back from Edinburgh and Lee and I did the test together,' she reveals. ‘I just had a feeling.

'I had a sip of rosé wine and I couldn't drink it; it tasted funny and I felt drunk.'
