No one's had more of an up and down ride on The X Factor than Danyl Johnson.

Now, the 27-year-old teacher from Reading insists his confidence is back, although he's still fighting to achieve the public popularity of rivals Olly Murs, Stacey Solomon - and Jedward.

'I always just think John and Edward get the most votes. Even I vote for them!' he reveals. 

'But we're a really tight bunch. Everyone chills and we just watch films together. Everyone cuddles up...so it's cool.'

Danyl has admitted having relationships with both girls and boys but doesn't take press reports about his love life seriously. He's been linked to more than one contestant in the final 12.

'No-one can control that sort of thing,' he says with a shrug. 'You know, we get into this industry and loads of things are written about us that aren't true and that we laugh about it.

'I think I'm dating Lucie, Joe and Afro all at the same time!'
