Best pal claims music mogul can't get enough of the tasty treat

Sinitta claimsSimon Cowell has turned to Angel Delight to help him through the X Factor backlash this week.

The music mogul's best pal reckons he is hooked on his favourite childhood pudding.

‘He has a two-packet-a-day problem or habit - it's his comfort food,' she says.

‘He walks round with a packet of cigarettes and a packet of Angel Delight. He will have a bowl of pink Angel Delight at home or in the back of a limo.'

Simon, 50, has been under attack from X factor fans after he let the public decide who should be voted off in last week's sing-off.

The outcome resulted in favourite Lucie Jones being booted off, saving twins John and Edward.

‘If he did make a mistake, cut him some slack,' Sinitta tells the Sunday Mirror. ‘He realises people are disturbed by the result.'
