Susan Boyle: Secret fiancé got cold feet

Boyfriend proposed after seven weeks

Susan Boyle has been dubbed the Hairy Angel by the tabloids

Susan Boyle has revealed she nearly got married once.

But the engagement fell through when the Britain's Got Talent star's fiancé changed his mind.

‘I had a boyfriend, John, who worked in an office,' Susan explains.

‘He asked me to marry him after seven weeks, although we'd only ever had a peck on the cheek.

'But he eventually got cold feet.'

Susan, 48, remains positive despite her heartbreak. 

‘It made me sad, in a way,' she tells Weekend magazine.

‘It makes you feel unattractive; you feel that life is passing you by.

'But I thought, "Maybe there's something for me later". I was always optimistic.'
