Singer continues to try IVF treatment

Celine Dion and Rene Angelil have been married for 15 years

Celine Dion isn't pregnant after all, despite reports she'd conceived through in vitro fertilization.

The singer's publicist, Kim Jakwerth, said her doctor initially confirmed the news in August.

But she later found out the embryo had not been implanted successfully.

The singer and her husband René Angélil, 67, started IVF treatment earlier this year.

‘Dr Zev Rosenwaks believed that the procedure/pregnancy took, but that wasn't the case,' he tells the Journal de Montreal.

‘We found out some days later. We were shocked.'

But Celine, 41, remains determined despite the latest setback. 

‘We are living the reality of the majority of couples who have to use [IVF], says René.

‘The process can be long and arduous. But we are full of confidence.'

The couple had son René-Charles through IVF in 2001.
