Ofcom will not launch a probe into Lucie Jones' exit from The X Factor on Sunday night.
Viewers complained that judge Simon Cowell, 50, let the decision go to Deadlock following her sing-off with John and Edward Grimes.
He previously stated he would leave the country if the twins, 18, won the competition.
Ofcom says it does not investigate the outcome of programmes.
An ITV spokesman has played down the situation, saying: ‘The X Factor result can divide opinion and provoke comment from viewers.'
