Rihanna: I woke up as Britney Spears

Singer couldn't escape media attention

Rihanna has not spoken out about the incident before

Rihanna found it difficult to deal with the press after she was assaulted by Chris Brown.

The Umbrella star has been mobbed by paparazzi everywhere she goes since the attack.

‘I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears,' she says. ‘That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day...

‘My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see. They have followed every step of my recovery.'

Rihanna, 21, now wants to use her experience to help other victims of domestic violence.

‘I am stronger, wiser and more aware,' she tells Glamour. ‘You don't realise how much your decisions affect people you don't even know, like fans...

‘I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn't heard. Now I can help speak for those women.'
