Fans go wild for The X Factor's John and Edward at premiere

Twins prove popular on the red carpet

John and Edward Grimes looked smart in their matching grey suits

X Factor contestants John and Edward Grimes left fans hysterical when they turned up to the London premiere of A Christmas Carol last night.

The twins - dubbed Jedward - stole the limelight from cast members Jim Carrey and Colin Firth at the Leicester Square screening.

Girls were seen screaming and some supporters even recreated John and Edward's famous quiff.

'This attention is crazy,' the brothers, 18, told Metro. ‘We're loving every minute. We've even got people copying our hair. Can you believe it?'

But John and Edward - looking dapper in matching grey suits - almost missed the film because they were so busy signing autographs.

Other stars at the premiere included their fellow X Factor contestants, Peter Andre, 36, Chantelle Houghton, 25, and Nicola McLean.
