Sophie Ellis-Bextor: I feared husband would run a mile over pregnancy

But Richard Jones rose to the challenge

Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Richard Jones got married in 2005

Sophie Ellis-Bextor was afraid husband Richard Jones would leave her when she first fell pregnant.

The couple conceived Sonny, 5, shortly after getting together in 2004.

‘We found out we were having a baby after a couple of months together,' she says.

‘I was concerned he would run a mile.'

But Sophie, 30, insists she needn't have worried.

‘He took it in his stride and is a great dad,' she tells The Times Magazine.

Sophie and The Feeling star Richard are also parents to Kit Valentine, 9 months.
