Natalie Cassidy is to make a sensational comeback on EastEnders early next year.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, who was last seen in Albert Square in February 2007, will reprise her role as Sonia Fowler for a major storyline to mark the BBC soap's 25th anniversary.
Natalie, 26, will return alongside Lindsey Coulson and Dean Gaffney, 31, who played her on-screen mum Carol Jackson and brother Robbie.
‘To be invited back is such an honour,' she says. ‘I'm very, very excited and to be reunited with the original Jacksons is a dream come true.'
Only Lindsey, 49, who left the soap in 1999, will become a regular character again.
‘I'm intrigued to find out what she and her family have been up to,' she says.
Producers are also planning to cast someone to play the role of Carol's other son Billy.
