Morrissey recovering after collapse

Singer discharged from hospital

Morrissey was given the all-clear by doctors

Morrissey is resting at home after collapsing during a gig on Saturday.

The ex-Smiths singer was taken ill with breathing difficulties while performing at the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon.

‘I didn't think he looked particularly well but then again, he's sort of well known as a reclusive character so I sort of thought that was just the way he was when he was on stage,' concert-goer Jillian Moody tells the BBC.

‘He kept putting his hand up to his mouth as if he felt sick or... perhaps he was trying to hide something, but he didn't look particularly comfortable.'

Morrissey, 50, was kept in overnight for treatment at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
