Jade Goody died from cervical cancer in March, at the age of 27

Jade Goody's family will receive £35,000 in damages over the publication of photos from the star's private burial.

Her mum Jackiey Budden was among a group of seven who sued Mirror Group Newspapers and agency NewsPics for invasion of privacy and breach of confidence.

Jade's family launched their High Court action after The People newspaper ran a front page snap in April of mourners at her final resting place.

They claimed that while the funeral ceremony was a public affair, the burial was a private event.

MGN Limited and NewsPics will also cover their legal costs and have agreed not to use or disseminate any of the photographs in the future.

The newspaper group has also written to the family to apologise.
