Singer being honoured at annual ceremony
Friday, 23 October 2009
Robbie Williams will take home the Outstanding Contribution To Music prize at next year's Brit Awards.
Organisers plan to celebrate the career of the ex-Take That singer, who already has a hoard of 11 trophies.
‘[He is] one of the outstanding artists and performers of his generation,' Ged Doherty of the Brits committee tells the BBC.
Robbie, 35, will follow in the footsteps of previous recipients The Pet Shop Boys, Paul McCartney and Oasis.
His album Reality Killed The Video Star is out on 9 November.
