Susan Boyle to film Christmas TV special

Hour-long programme will air on ITV

Susan Boyle came second to dance troupe Diversity on Britain's Got Talent

Susan Boyle is to shoot her own TV special over the festive season.

The Britain's Got Talent runner-up will perform tracks from her new album live in front of celebrity guests.

The hour-long programme - entitled An Audience With Susan Boyle - will air on ITV.

‘Everyone is really excited about the show,' a source tells the News Of The World.

‘With the huge worldwide appeal of Susan, the show could be screened right across the globe and potentially be one of the biggest ratings successes for ITV ever.'

Meanwhile, Susan, 48, met Spandau Ballet backstage at their concert in Glasgow.

Susan's debut album I Dreamed A Dream is out on 23 November.
