Shane Lynch says he's delighted with the send-off Boyzone gave the late Stephen Gately.
The group forked out £45,000 for the 12-hour do at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin on Saturday.
Guests included manager Louis Walsh, Jason Donovan, Westlife and Elton John's husband David Furnish.
‘We gave him the farewell he deserved,' Shane, 33, tells The Sun. 'We all deal with grief in our own way, and this was our way.
‘It was a brilliant night, fitting for a brilliant person. We will never forget him.'
The 400 guests were treated to a champagne reception, canapés and a four-course meal, and were entertained by videos of Stephen's career.
Meanwhile, Stephen's civil partner Andy Cowles returned to London with his ashes yesterday.
