Can Sam Cooper save Lily Allen?

Lily Allen loved her break in Italy

Lily Allen looked blissfully happy as she cuddled up to her man Sam Cooper in Venice recently.

Wearing a T-shirt that spelt out the word ‘love', Lily, 24, seemed more at peace than she's been for months as they shared a gondola ride.

‘Lily got together with Sam three months ago because he was removed from her crazy world of fame - and they're even thinking of moving in together,' a friend tells Now.

‘But her family tease her that she's like a female version of Hugh Grant, a celeb who complains about being in the public eye, but can't seem to avoid the attention.'

Just weeks ago, Lily declared she was to retire days before her tour dates with Dizzee Rascal were announced, but according to friends: ‘She'd been complaining she was only getting ‘pocket money' so far from her record company.

'But since she said she wanted to quit, bosses have let it be known that she's in line for a seven-figure sum.

‘Everyone says she'd be mad to quit at the top of her game. She's come out of this meltdown stronger, more determined to do things her way, and Sam's playing a big part. She can be herself with him and that'll keep her grounded.'
