Natalie Cassidy: I've got a soft spot for you, Dean Gaffney

Now can exclusively reveal that former co-stars Dean Gaffney and Natalie Cassidy have been enjoying secret hook-ups.

It seems too unreal to be true that EastEnders' sister and brother Sonia and Robbie Jackson, minus dog Wellard, are meeting on the quiet off-screen.

While the meetings may be perfectly innocent, according to our source, Nat's boyfriend Adam Cottrell, 29, is none the wiser.

An insider close to the Strictly Come Dancing star says: ‘Before we knew they met up, Nat, 26, was always texting and speaking to Dean on the phone. She told her best friend that she's always had a soft spot for him.'

Our eagle-eyed snapper spotted Dean, 31, coming out of Nat's flat one morning recently looking sheepish - and there was no sign of Adam.

Friends say their romance has cooled since Nat's been putting in the hours to train for Strictly.

‘I couldn't believe it when I saw Dean scurrying away from Nat's and he wouldn't answer any questions,' says our photographer.

‘He was pursued by the paparazzi further down the street.'

Natalie's spokeswoman says: ‘Dean was on his way to Islington and just stopped off for cup of coffee.'

A spokesman for Dean says: ‘He's remained good friends with Natalie since leaving EastEnders.'
