Boyzone to bring home Stephen Gately's body

Bandmates will sit with star overnight

Stephen Gately died from fluid on the lungs

Boyzone are flying to Majorca to bring home the body of singer Stephen Gately.

Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch will then spend the night watching over him at St Laurence O'Toole's church in Dublin.

'Stephen's mother didn't want him to be alone in the dark, so Ronan, Keith, Mikey and Shane have stepped up and will sit with Stephen's body,' manager Louis Walsh tells Sky News Online.

'He was like their little brother and they want to be a friend to him in death as he was to them in life.'

Stephen died at the aged of 33 at his home in Majorca last Saturday.

His funeral will take place tomorrow, and it's thought his coffin will be carried into the church by his four bandmates and two of his brothers.

Westlife, Gary Barlow and David Furnish are among the celebrities expected at the service.
