Pamela Anderson to star in panto

Star will tread the boards in London

Pamela Anderson will play the Genie Of The Lamp in Aladdin for a fortnight

Former Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson is appearing in panto this Christmas.

She'll play the Genie Of The Lamp in Aladdin at London's New Wimbledon Theatre.

Pammie will star in the production for two weeks from 13 to 27 December.

Chat show host Paul O'Grady will take on the role for the last week of the show's run.

It's not yet been announced who will play the genie for the first and final weeks of December.

'We hope they will all bring something completely different to the role,' says a theatre spokesman.

The cast also features actor Brian Blessed as the evil Abanazar.
