Avril Lavigne files for divorce
Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley got married in July 2006
Avril Lavigne has filed for divorce from husband Deryck Whibley.
The couple announced last month that they were separating after three years of marriage.
Avril, 24, has cited irreconcilable differences, according to papers filed at LA Superior Court on Friday.
The singer and the SUM 41 star, 29, say the split is amicable.
