Dynasty actress can't afford couture

Actress Joan Collins was famous for big hair and shoulder pads in the 80s

Joan Collins has started buying clothes at Primark because of the credit crunch.

The Dynasty star, 76, who hosts Joan Does Glamour, is a fan of the high street store.

‘I'm having to cut back on spending,' says Joan. 'I'm afraid I'm no different from anyone else in that respect.

‘I recently had my first sojourn into Primark and I loved it. I found three sweaters for £11 - fantastic!

Joan now refuses to splash out on designer togs.

'I can't afford couture clothes,' she tells The Sun. 'I don't know who can.

‘I wouldn't dream of spending £3,000 on a jacket.'
