Scrubs star releases statement on YouTube

The blogger who first reported Zach Braff was dead has now apologised

Zach Braff has responded to false internet rumours that he died yesterday.

The Scrubs star was reported to have overdosed on pills.

‘I'm alive,' says Zach, 34, in a YouTube statement.

‘I'm here at Scrubs shooting the new title sequence which is a little bit like dying, so I guess that was semi-accurate.

‘Also, I would never off myself with pills. If I had to do it, I would do it the way that everyone else would do it - by hitting myself with pots and pans.'

Zach ends the clip by explaining that he would like co-star Donald Faison, 35, to sing an R&B version of Wind Beneath My Wings at his funeral.

He then wheels Donald out and they start singing the track.
