Hoaxers tell Jessica Simpson her missing dog is alive

Singer blasts cruel pranksters on Twitter

Jessica Simpson's dog Daisy was bought for her by her ex-husband Nick Lachey

Jessica Simpson says hoaxers falsely claimed her lost pet had been sighted. 

The singer's maltipoo Daisy was snatched by a coyote from her LA home in September.

The 29-year-old initially launched an appeal to find the dog, but she's now presumed dead.

‘People have been contacting my family and friends saying that Daisy has been found,' she writes on Twitter. ‘Untrue.

‘People are so cruel. Please respect her memory.'
