Matt Lucas split from Kevin McGee last year

Matt Lucas's famous friends are rallying round him following the death of his former civil partner.

Kevin McGee, 32, was reportedly found hanged when police broke into his Edinburgh flat on Monday.

David Walliams, 38, has been comforting his Little Britain co-star, 35, since the news broke.

He and fellow comedian Jimmy Carr, 37, were seen leaving Matt's London pad to collect a Chinese takeaway last night.

Dale Winton, 54, dropped by with a condolence card while Davina McCall, 41, reached out to Matt online.

‘Hello, it's Davina here,' she wrote on Twitter. ‘Someone on Twitter told me you were having a tough time so I'm sending you a hug.'
