Jordan and Peter Andre's last minute U-turn

It seems like an impossible dream but there's no doubt love is still in the air between the estranged couple

Will Jordan and Peter Andre be reconciled?

It was the devastating moment when Jordan realised Peter Andre was the man for her after all.


As he roamed backstage at the MOBO Awards in Glasgow, shaking hands and hugging the likes of La Toya Jackson, Jordan sobbed at home: ‘Why do we have to go through with it? I don't want a divorce.'

But behind his fixed smile for the cameras, This Morning's ‘roving reporter' Peter, 36, was feeling exactly the same sorrow. He told his brother Mike: ‘My life isn't the same without her.'

As the clock ticks nearer to their divorce being finalised on 21 October, is there any glimmer of hope that the pair may patch up their differences?

Now has spoken extensively to friends in both camps over the past week and it's clear that, in 31-year-old Jordan's eyes, she still loves the man dearly and has never wanted this to happen.

One close pal reveals: ‘She's texted him at least four times in the past week alone. Sometimes the texts are friendly and at other times they accuse him of being with another woman, but they all spell out the same message that Jordan loves the new, confident Pete even more than the old one.'

There's no doubt that the children - Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess - are the focal point for both Jordan and Peter.

Neither wants them hurting any more than they have to. Princess, in particular, is missing her daddy.

‘Harvey and Junior are both mummy's boys, but Princess is a daddy's girl and she's always asking after him,' says our source.

‘What puts a stop to any sort of reconciliation is the bickering over issues like the kids. Pete and Jordan act like they're still man and wife, when in reality they're meant to be getting divorced in two weeks' time.'
