Little Britain star grieving for Kevin McGee
Tuesday, 6 October 2009
Matt Lucas has pulled out of a new theatre show following the death of his former civil partner.
It's thought Kevin McGee, 32, was found hanged when police broke into his Edinburgh flat yesterday morning.
'Our thoughts are with Matt, whom we are in constant touch with,' reads a statement on the show's website.
'Until further notice his role of Kenneth Halliwell in the West End production of Prick Up Your Ears will be played by his understudy Michael Chadwick.'
Matt's agent said the Little Britain star had no comment to make.
Meanwhile, Kevin's former employers Carbon Media have offered their condolences.
'Kevin McGee remained very close to the company's heart,' reads a statement. 'Deepest condolences to his family and friends.'
