Singer will donate payout to her charity
Tuesday, 6 October 2009
Madonna has received undisclosed damages from a newspaper group for breach of privacy and copyright.
Associated Newspapers published 11 snaps of her wedding to Guy Ritchie in the Mail On Sunday on 19 October.
No pictures of the nuptials had ever been printed before.
As part of the settlement at London's High Court, the paper also apologised to the singer and agreed to pay her legal costs.
The 51-year-old plans to donate the damages to her Raising Malawi charity.
The court heard the Mail On Sunday has now destroyed all the photographs.
The images were allegedly copied by an interior designer working at Madonna's Beverly Hills home in 2003.
