Whoopi Goldberg among mourners at Patrick Swayze memorial
A private memorial was held for Patrick Swayze on Sunday.
Whoopi Goldberg was among the mourners at the service at Sony Studios in California.
Patrick's wife Lisa Niemi planned the event, which featured a video tribute and speeches celebrating his life.
The memorial opened with the arrival of a white horse owned by the Dirty Dancing star.
Patrick's boots were placed in the stirrups facing backwards.
‘It's an old horseman tradition,' a source tells People.
Guests were asked to make donations to The Patrick Swayze Pancreas Cancer Research Fund or Stand Up To Cancer instead of giving flowers.
