Matt Lucas's ex Kevin McGee found dead

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances

Matt Lucas and Kevin McGee split last year

The former civil partner of Matt Lucas has been found dead in his flat.

Kevin McGee was allegedly found hanged when police broke into his Edinburgh home yesterday morning.

Friends raised the alarm after the 32-year-old posted a message on Facebook, saying: ‘Kevin McGee thinks that death is much better than life.'

A spokesman for Lothian And Borders Police said: ‘Police were called to an address in Bruntsfield Gardens around 8am on Monday morning where a 32-year-old man was found dead.

‘There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent the Procurator Fiscal.'

Kevin married Little Britain star Matt, 35, in December 2006.

Their civil partnership was officially dissolved in January.
