Chanelle Hayes confesses she's hooked on a new obsession

After surviving her suicide scare, fragile Chanelle Hayes is still battling her body demons - and has developed a worrying new addiction.

The ex Big Brother star tried to take her life after her self-loathing and rows with (now ex) boyfriend Matt Bates drove her to despair.

We told you first Chanelle, 21, was addicted to being thin.

Days after downing four bottles of wine, four boxes of painkillers and a bottle of sleeping pills, the reality star told Now: ‘I just didn't see any point in me being around. I thought I couldn't make Matt happy and I couldn't make myself happy. In short, I couldn't do anything right.'

When speaking of her latest addiction, Chanelle exclusively tells Now: ‘People will think I'm mad for doing this but it works for me.'

In addition, Chanelle is seeking professional help for her eating disorder.

She says: ‘I realise now that I suffer with depression and have eating issues, but I am dealing with that by following a specially devised eating plan and seeing my doctor.'
